Forms handling - Burster

Bursters are used to separate sheets along the perforation. They can also trim off the sprocket holes at the same time if required. Bursters will separate the sheets using a bursting action, hence the name, whilst the paper is still moving through the machine. This enables the paper to travel at high speed without stopping.
